Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is scheduled to visit Coimbatore on November 5 and 6 to inaugurate the Elcot Information Technology (IT) Park, a long-awaited project for the city.
Announced in 2020, the IT park will provide a total built-up area of 2.66 lakh square feet, including 1.56 lakh square feet dedicated to IT space. The six-storey facility, located on 2.86 acres in Vilankurichi, was developed with an investment of ₹114.16 crore and includes designated areas for startups, enhancing opportunities for emerging companies.
In addition to the IT park inauguration, the Chief Minister is expected to visit the workers’ hostel under construction at Kurichi and interact with Coimbatore’s jewellers. Discussions may focus on the proposed integrated workspace for goldsmiths in the city.
