Saira Banu urges media not to spread false information about A.R. Rahman

In the wake of her recent announcement regarding her separation from music composer A.R. Rahman after 29 years of marriage, Saira Banu has released an audio message urging the media to refrain from spreading defamatory statements about Rahman.
Saira Banu, currently residing in Mumbai, expressed her concerns about the negative commentary surrounding Rahman following their announcement of the divorce. In the audio message, she appealed to YouTubers and Tamil media outlets to stop circulating harmful rumors about the Oscar-winning composer, describing him as a “wonderful human being” and one of the “best people in the world.”
She explained that due to health issues, she is currently receiving treatment in Mumbai and is not in Chennai. Rahman, she added, is in Chennai during this period, and she does not wish to disturb him or their children. Saira Banu also urged the public to stop spreading false information about the divorce and emphasized that she will return to Chennai once her treatment is completed.
“I am Saira Banu speaking. I am currently staying in Mumbai. I kindly request YouTubers and Tamil media not to spread defamatory statements about A.R. Rahman. He is a wonderful person, one of the best human beings in this world. Due to my health issues, I am not in Chennai right now. I am receiving treatment in Mumbai. During this time, A.R. Rahman is in Chennai, and I do not wish to disturb him or my children. Please stop spreading false information about the divorce. I will return to Chennai once my treatment is over. Thank you.”

Her statement aims to clarify the situation and protect the privacy of both Rahman and their family, requesting the media and public to show respect during this challenging time.
