Four IPS officers transferred in TN


The Tamil Nadu government has announced the transfer and reassignment of four senior IPS officers to new roles. The changes were detailed in an official statement, reflecting updates in key administrative and law enforcement positions.
Rajeev Kumar, who previously served as the Director General of Police (DGP) for the Crimes Against Women and Children Division in Chennai, has been transferred to the role of DGP for Aavin in Chennai. This move highlights the emphasis on reshuffling leadership in critical departments.
Vanniyar Perumal, formerly the DGP of the Village Police Force in Chennai, has been reassigned as the DGP of Railways. This position focuses on overseeing railway safety and maintaining law and order in the extensive rail network within the state.
Mallika, who held the position of Inspector General (IG) for Traffic and Road Safety in Chennai, has been appointed as IG for the Investigation Division of the State Human Rights Commission, Chennai. This change underscores the importance of effective leadership in safeguarding human rights and conducting thorough investigations.
Abhishek Dixit, who was serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) for Railways in Chennai, has been promoted to the rank of IG and assigned to the Traffic and Road Safety Division. His promotion reflects recognition of his contributions and readiness for increased responsibilities.
In addition to these changes, Muthamil, previously the Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department for Aavin in Chennai, has been transferred to the position of SP, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.
