Two people have been arrested, and the police are searching for at least seven more suspects in connection with the gang rape of a college girl with mental disabilities in Chennai.The arrests were made on Saturday, with the case being registered at the Chennai All-Women Police Station.
The victim, who studies at a Chennai private college and has mental disabilities, confided in her father about the incident. She identified two perpetrators – Naresh and Suresh – from Tiruvallur district, according to a Chennai Police official.
Police reports indicate the victim experienced physical ailments, including severe stomach pain, following the assault. The two identified suspects allegedly took her to a lodge on Wall Tax Road in Chennai where they repeatedly assaulted her.
