Adhav Arjuna breaks silence on suspension from VCK

Adhav Arjuna has addressed his suspension from the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) by releasing a detailed statement on social media, asserting his commitment to the ideology of democratic reform and his unwavering determination.
Adhav’s recent remarks at a book launch event for Ambedkar stirred significant controversy in Tamil Nadu’s political circles. His statements reportedly created tensions between the VCK and the DMK and also led to internal disagreements among VCK’s senior leaders. Following this, VCK leader Thol. Thirumavalavan announced Adhavan’s temporary suspension from his role as the party’s Deputy General Secretary.
Reacting to his suspension, Adhav took to the social media platform X, publishing a post titled “Even if a Thousand Hands Try to Suppress.” In the post, he reflected on his journey with the VCK and his aspirations for marginalized communities.
Adhav wrote: “I joined the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi in January with the hope of empowering oppressed communities, echoing the founding spirit of the party: ‘We will seize power.’ I approached my responsibilities as Deputy General Secretary with utmost dedication, shaping the party’s promotional strategies and policies. I trust that grassroots workers who actively engage in the party’s struggles understand my contributions. I have always been their voice and will continue to be so.”
“When I received the appointment letter signed by our leader, I embraced the responsibility with a clear conscience. Today, I face this suspension letter with the same clarity and resolve.”
“True freedom is achievable only through unwavering commitment to democratic principles. Together, let us build a new democracy.”
