No rift between VCK and TVK, says Thirumavalavan

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol. Thirumavalavan has clarified that there is no conflict between the VCK and the TVK party, led by actor Vijay.
Thirumavalavan, who recently suspended Adhavan Arjuna from the VCK, met Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at the State Assembly premises to hand over the VCK MPs’ cyclone relief fund. Speaking to the media afterward, he addressed various issues, including Adhavan’s suspension and political developments.
Thirumavalavan said, “The central government has once again betrayed the people of Tamil Nadu. In response, VCK MPs and MLAs have donated their one-month salary to the relief fund.
There is no pressure or coercion from the DMK regarding Adhavan Arjuna’s suspension. The DMK did not intervene or discuss this decision with us. My decision to abstain from participating in an event featuring Vijay was entirely independent and self-determined.
There is no conflict between the VCK and the Tamil Victory Kazhagam. We have no issues or controversies with Vijay. However, Adhav Arjuna’s speech undermined the credibility of the VCK and myself, leading to his suspension.”
Explaining further, Thirumavalavan stated, “We repeatedly advised Adhav Arjuna not to engage in political discussions during the book launch event. Despite this, his remarks caused unwarranted disruptions and controversies.
The decision to suspend him was not taken lightly. We had previously issued multiple verbal warnings. His suspension is effective for six months, during which his actions will determine whether he will be reinstated in the party.”
Commenting on the BJP, Thirumavalavan said,
“The BJP must clarify whether it is under Adani’s control or Modi’s. This is an issue that BJP State President Annamalai should address.”
