Minister Raghupathi responds to Palaniswami’s allegations

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has urged the DMK government to act with foresight to prevent hardships to the public, citing the example of the sudden release of water from the Sathanur Dam during early hours.
Palaniswami stated, “With heavy rains lashing various districts and reservoirs filling up, the DMK government must operate with precautionary measures to avoid causing distress to the public, unlike the sudden release of water from the Sathanur Dam during early hours.”
Responding to this, Tamil Nadu Minister Raghupathi emphasized that the DMK government is taking robust measures under the directives of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to handle the heavy rains.
“The state government is closely monitoring all reservoirs around the clock, ensuring no lapses in preparedness, unlike the AIADMK regime,” Raghupathi said.
The exchange highlights the political tug-of-war over disaster management, with both parties underscoring their respective approaches to public safety and administrative efficiency.
