G.V. Prakash Kumar, the celebrated composer, singer, and actor, has reached a remarkable milestone in his illustrious career by scoring music for his 100th film. The journey, which began in 2005 with the Tamil film Veyil, has been nothing short of extraordinary, marked by consistent success, creativity, and innovation.Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, G.V. Prakash began by thanking directors Shankar and Vasanthabalan, who gave him his debut opportunity with Veyil. The film’s success opened doors to collaborations with several notable filmmakers and actors, establishing him as one of the leading composers in the industry.
He recalled how his career progressed through films starring top stars, including Rajinikanth, Ajith, Vijay, Vikram, Suriya, Dhanush, and many others. Prakash also acknowledged the directors who believed in his musical prowess, including Vetrimaran, Selvaraghavan, Atlee, Sudha Kongara, and Pushkar-Gayathri, to name a few.
Prakash extended his appreciation to the producers who trusted him with their films, such as K. Balachander, Kalaipuli S. Thanu, AGS Entertainment, Studio Green, and Lyca Productions. He also thanked Bollywood icons like Akshay Kumar and Anurag Kashyap, as well as the musicians and technicians who collaborated with him over the years.
A cherished memory for Prakash was scoring music for Amaran, a film produced by Kamal Haasan. He expressed his thrill when the legendary actor appreciated his work after hearing the score, marking it as one of the highlights of his career.
