Suriya’s highly anticipated film with director Karthik Subbaraj has been officially titled “Retro.” The announcement was made on Christmas, accompanied by a 136-second title teaser that has already created a buzz among fans.
The teaser showcases Suriya and Pooja Hegde sitting on the iconic steps of Chet Singh Ghat in Varanasi, with Suriya’s character vowing to become a better person. The video also offers glimpses of the ensemble cast, including Joju George, Karunakaran, Jayaram, Nassar, Sujith Shankar, and Prakash Raj.
The film features music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna, and editing by Shafique Mohamed. Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films is co-producing the film alongside Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.
Shot across picturesque locations such as Andaman, Ooty, Kerala, and Chennai, Retro has wrapped up its shooting in four schedules. Post-production is currently underway, with the film slated for a summer 2025 release.
