Samsung management has agreed to a wage hike of Rs 9,000 for workers at its Sriperumbudur factory as part of a written response submitted during conciliatory talks with representatives of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU).

The incident also left several others injured as devotees gathered to obtain ‘darshan’ tokens near Vishnu Nivasam in Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati.
