IIT Madras will host IInvenTiv 2025, a national expo showcasing cutting-edge research, on 28th February and 1st March 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Union Education Ministry, the event will feature R&D projects from IITs, NITs, IISc, IISERs, and top-ranking engineering institutes.Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the expo, which aims to foster industry-academic collaboration by highlighting mature technologies ready for commercialization. This year’s event will also feature exhibits from startups rooted in institutional research.
Key thematic areas include AI/ML, Aviation, Defence, Space, Marine Technology, Medical Engineering, Smart Cities, and Sustainability.
IITM Director Prof. V. Kamakoti described the event as a flagship initiative to bridge the gap between academia and industry, while Dean Manu Santhanam emphasized its potential to strengthen innovation ecosystems. IInvenTiv, launched in 2022 at IIT Delhi, has since grown into a landmark event.
