Dhanush’s NEEK release postponed to Feb 21

Fans of actor Dhanush eagerly awaiting his directorial venture Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) will have to wait a little longer, as the film’s release date has been postponed. Originally slated for a theatrical release on February 7, the makers announced on Friday that the new release date is now set for February 21.
This change in schedule follows the announcement that Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi will hit theatres on February 6, prompting the shift in NEEK’s release to avoid a clash.
NEEK is expected to delve into themes of love and relationships, with a narrative that resonates with Gen Z sensibilities. The film stars Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Matthew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan in pivotal roles, promising a diverse and engaging cast.
The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, who has worked on successful Dhanush films like Aadukalam, Asuran, Polladhavan, Vaathi, and Captain Miller. Leon Britto serves as the cinematographer, while GK Prasanna will handle the film’s editing.
This marks Dhanush’s third film as a director after the success of Pa Paandi and Raayan. His directorial debut, Pa Paandi, earned critical acclaim, while Raayan was his 50th film as an actor. Additionally, Dhanush is currently working on his fourth directorial, Idli Kadai, set to release on April 10, 2025.
With NEEK promising to explore modern-day relationships through the lens of youth culture, it is expected to be a thought-provoking and emotionally engaging experience.
