The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has announced that its Tourist Cards, available for 1-day and 30-day travel, will be discontinued starting February 1, 2025.Despite the discontinuation, CMRL assures passengers of continued convenience with alternative ticketing options, including digital tickets, QR code-based tickets, single journey tokens, and the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). The NCMC is also integrated with MTC buses, enabling seamless travel across multiple transport modes.
CMRL thanks passengers for their support and remains committed to enhancing the metro travel experience for both commuters and tourists.
