S Rlys extends special train services to meet passenger demand

In response to increased passenger demand, Southern Railway has extended the services of several special trains. These trains will continue operating on their existing schedules for an extended period, ensuring smoother travel options for commuters.
Among the extended services, the Nagercoil – Tambaram Weekly Special (Train No. 06012) will run on Sundays from February 9, 2025, to June 29, 2025, covering a total of 21 trips. Its return service, the Tambaram – Nagercoil Weekly Special (Train No. 06011), will operate on Mondays from February 10, 2025, to June 30, 2025, with the same number of trips.
Similarly, the Tambaram – Kochuveli Weekly Special (Train No. 06035) has been extended to run on Fridays from February 7, 2025, to June 27, 2025 (21 trips). The return train, Kochuveli – Tambaram Weekly Special (Train No. 06036), will operate on Sundays from February 9, 2025, to June 29, 2025.
For passengers traveling between Tambaram and Coimbatore, the Tambaram – Coimbatore Weekly Special (Train No. 06184) will continue on Fridays from February 14, 2025, to February 28, 2025, for three additional trips. The return train, Coimbatore – Tambaram Weekly Special (Train No. 06185), will run on Sundays from February 16, 2025, to March 2, 2025.
Reservation Details
Passengers can now book tickets for Train Nos. 06012, 06011, 06184, and 06185. Meanwhile, reservations for Train Nos. 06035 and 06036 will open at 17:00 hrs.
The extension of these special train services aims to ease travel congestion and provide passengers with more flexible travel options over the coming months.
