At the famous Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, celebrations began early in the morning. The temple opened its doors at 1 AM, and large crowds patiently waited in long queues for hours to have darshan of the deity. The entire temple town is filled with chants and devotional hymns.
In Palani, a significant pilgrimage site, thousands of devotees are climbing the 693 steps leading to the hilltop temple, carrying kavadi as an offering. Before visiting the temple, many took a holy dip in the Thiruavinankudi and Shanmuganadi rivers from 4 AM onwards. The atmosphere is vibrant with prayers, bhajans, and spiritual fervor.
In Chennai, the Vadapalani Murugan Temple is witnessing a massive influx of devotees. Special queues have been arranged for senior citizens and families with children, ensuring a smooth and organized darshan experience.
