Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai has criticized School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh for making false claims about the allocation of central funds to other states instead of Tamil Nadu.
In a statement, Annamalai accused Mahesh of politicizing the issue and misleading the public. He alleged that Mahesh, whom he sarcastically referred to as the “fan club leader of Udhayanidhi,” lacks proper knowledge about his own department.
Annamalai pointed out that Tamil Nadu had initially agreed to join the PMSHRI scheme but later refused to participate, yet Mahesh falsely claimed that funds were not allocated. He questioned why political motives were being prioritized over students’ education.
Referring to Mahesh’s own statements, Annamalai clarified that no state had received the full allocated funds yet, and accused the DMK government of spreading misinformation for political gains. He further demanded to know how long Tamil Nadu ministers would continue blaming the central government to mislead the people instead of taking responsibility for their own administrative failures.
