The Tamil Nadu Cabinet has approved investments worth ₹7,375 crore, according to official sources.
Aiming to make Tamil Nadu a $1 trillion economy (₹86 lakh crore) by 2030, the state government has been actively engaging with domestic and international investors. As part of this initiative, a Cabinet meeting was held recently at the Secretariat in Chennai, chaired by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
During the meeting, approval was granted for various industrial investments in districts such as Thoothukudi, Tiruchirappalli, Vellore, and Perambalur. These investments cover industries including global skill development centers, non-leather footwear manufacturing, and food processing.
Government sources revealed that these projects are expected to generate around 19,000 job opportunities, contributing to the state’s economic growth and employment sector.
