In an effort to promote entrepreneurship among students, Anna University has announced an online start-up training program for engineering institutions, set to begin in March. The initiative aims to create awareness about various opportunities available for aspiring student entrepreneurs.
According to university sources, the training program will be conducted under the theme ‘Startup Practice Venture Creation Internships’. It will introduce case-study-based learning on design thinking, innovation, prototyping, business fundamentals, and entrepreneurship, enabling students to develop their own start-up ideas.
The program will cover key aspects of entrepreneurship, including:
Entrepreneurial mindset
Identifying start-up opportunities
Prototyping and interaction
Business modeling and pitching
Understanding the start-up ecosystem
Industry Insights and Advanced Learning Tools
Apart from theoretical knowledge, the program will feature live classes by industry experts, along with interactive content, hands-on activities, and milestone-based learning.
To further support students, Anna University will provide technical assistance for accessing state-of-the-art laboratories and emerging technologies. Participants will have the opportunity to explore advanced tools such as:
3D printing
PCB board design and printing
Robotics
Drones
Building a Strong Entrepreneurial Network
The university also emphasized that the program will help create a network with key enablers of the start-up ecosystem, providing students with clarity, guidance, and innovative ideas to develop their business ventures.
