The city is set to introduce a unified ticketing system by April, allowing commuters to travel seamlessly across buses, metro, and suburban trains using a single platform.The new system will integrate all major public transport services, enabling passengers to book tickets through a single mobile app. While metro and suburban trains already have online ticketing options, the bus system is in its final stages of implementation.
Once fully operational, the common ticketing system is expected to enhance convenience and efficiency for daily commuters, making travel across Chennai more seamless and hassle-free.
