The Tamil Nadu transport corporations will operate 677 special buses in addition to regular services to accommodate the increased passenger rush at bus termini this weekend and during the quarterly school holidays on Wednesday.Additional Services from Key Terminals
From Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus (KCBT) in Kilambakkam, 265 special buses will be deployed on Friday, and 270 buses on Saturday to key destinations such as Madurai, Tiruchy, Coimbatore, Salem, and Tirunelveli.
From Koyambedu, 51 special buses will be operated on both Friday and Saturday to Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru. Additionally, 20 special buses will be operated from Madhavaram terminus to cater to passenger demand.
With a large number of passengers expected to return to Chennai and Bengaluru from Sunday, the transport department has announced that additional special buses will be operated from various locations across the state as per demand.
