Tamil Nadu’s School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has criticized Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for calling Tamil Nadu MPs “uncivilised” and accused the National Education Policy (NEP) of being an RSS-driven agenda.
He also refuted claims that Tamil Nadu had accepted and later backtracked on the PM-SHRI scheme, citing a letter from Pradhan dated August 30, 2024. Additionally, he accused the Union government of withholding Rs 2,152 crore in Samagra Shiksha (SS) funds to pressure Tamil Nadu into adopting PM-SHRI.
He vowed that DMK MPs would continue fighting for education and Tamil Nadu’s rights, condemning the BJP government’s political interference in the sector
