Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister V. Senthilbalaji has assured the public that there will be no power outages during the upcoming summer season.
Speaking on Sunday, the minister announced that the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL) has procured additional power through a tender process to meet the rising demand. He also stated that 260 power transformers are currently operational across the state, and several substations have been upgraded to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply.
Senthilbalaji further instructed officials to take necessary steps to minimize consumer complaints in areas facing frequent power disruptions. He emphasized the importance of regular maintenance of substations, transformers, and pillar boxes, especially in Chennai and its surrounding suburbs, to ensure a stable power supply throughout the season.
