The makers of director Mu Maran’s upcoming film Blackmail have unveiled the first look, featuring a puzzled and anxious GV Prakash. The intriguing poster hints at a crime thriller with themes of passion and money at its core.Produced by A Deivakani and Jayakodi Amalraj under the JDS Film Factory banner, Blackmail is expected to be a gripping thriller with “unexpected twists and turns.” The film features Teju Ashwini in the female lead, alongside an ensemble cast including Srikanth, Bindu Madhavi, Vettai Muthukumar, Redin Kingsley, Ramesh Thilak, and Hari Priya in key roles.
Speaking about the project, director Mu Maran shared, “We are happy that the film is progressing at the right pace. We have already completed shooting, and post-production is nearing completion. GV Prakash Kumar, despite his busy schedule, has been fully cooperative. He has begun dubbing his portions, and we will soon wrap up the entire process.”
The film’s technical team includes composer D Imman, editor San Lokesh, and cinematographer Gokul Benoy, who recently worked on Jiiva’s Black.
GV Prakash was last seen in Kingston, his 25th feature film, which released on March 7. With Blackmail, the actor is set to add another gripping thriller to his filmography. A release date for the film is expected to be announced soon.
