Erode. Apr 1: Tamil Nadu Minister Muthusamy addressed the media after attending an event in Erode yesterday, responding to various political issues.
Speaking about the Union Education Minister’s stance on the three-language policy, Muthusamy stated, “The DMK continues its protests because the central government has linked financial aid to the acceptance of the three-language policy. It is incorrect to claim that our protests are aimed at religious conversions.”
Regarding constituency delimitation, he remarked that if the number of constituencies increases, Tamil Nadu will fight for its rights and ensure proper representation. “The DMK is protesting with the good intention of securing Tamil Nadu’s welfare and rights. When it comes to alliances, the DMK always operates transparently and does not engage in secret deals,” he added.
When asked about AIADMK leaders Palaniswami and Sengottaiyan meeting BJP leaders, including the Union Home Minister, Muthusamy responded, “I do not have any particular view on this. I will comment after hearing their side of the story.”
He also commented on Chief Minister Stalin’s recent Assembly speech about the opposition. “The Chief Minister later said, ‘If my words caused any distress, I take them back.’ This clearly shows that he wants the opposition party to function well too,” Muthusamy concluded.
