Actor Suriya has shared a new poster for his upcoming film Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Wishing his fans “Eid Mubarak,” Suriya unveiled the intense look of his character, dressed in black and ready for a confrontation. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Karunakaran, Jayaram, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Sujith Shankar.Retro marks Suriya’s 44th film and is produced by his own banner, 2D Entertainment, alongside Jyotika. It is co-produced by Karthik Subbaraj and Kaarthekeyan S under Stone Bench Films, along with Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian of 2D Entertainment. While the storyline remains under wraps, the teaser suggests Suriya plays a man seeking redemption from his criminal past.
The film has been shot across multiple locations, including Andaman, Kerala, Chennai, Varanasi, and Ooty. It features music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna, and editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali. Action sequences are choreographed by Kecha Khamphakdee, while Praveen Raja handles costume design. Retro is set to hit theatres on May 1, promising an action-packed cinematic experience.
