Trump takes aim at Harvard again

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Harvard University should lose its tax-free status. This came after Harvard did not follow some new rules set by the White House.

Trump was unhappy that Harvard refused to stop certain campus activities and shut down its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. He said that if Harvard keeps supporting political and harmful ideas, it should be taxed like a political group.

Trump also said that tax-free status is only for groups that work for the public good.

A day earlier, the government stopped about $2.3 billion in federal funding to Harvard because the university did not agree to the White House’s policy changes.
