Government slams Pak over Waqf remarks

The Indian government on Tuesday strongly rejected Pakistan’s criticism of the new Waqf (Amendment) Act. India said that Pakistan has no right to speak about India’s internal matters.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that Pakistan should look at its own poor record on minority rights instead of telling others what to do.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We completely reject the false and meaningless comments made by Pakistan. The Waqf Amendment Act is India’s internal issue, and Pakistan has no role in it.”
