Some of the 11 new subjects and topics that have been introduced by the famous Anna University or AU for the UG and PG students for the summer internship include Artificial Intelligence based healthcare applications, experimental studies in electric vehicles or EV and wireless communications etc.Eligibility criteria:
It has been confirmed by some sources belonging to AU that those students who are currently studying 2nd or 3rd year BE or B. Tech or equivalent in an AICTE and UGC approved academic institutions are eligible for internships. Not only these students but those students who are studying 2nd or 3rd year M.E or M. Tech are also eligible for this internship programme from AU.
Internship programmes duration:
According to a senior professor it was clear that the summer internship programme would be conducted at Madras Institute of Technology or MIT campus in Chennai. It must be noted that the duration of the training would be 2 weeks and 4 weeks from the middle of May month.
The senior professor later spoke about how the interested students might look at the profiles of the faculty members of the institute at AU and MIT website and contact them directly to get the approval from their supervisor. Online interviews would be conducted by the faculty members for the candidates who have been shortlisted and selection would be intimated through the mail.
He concluded that there would also be other topics for internship such as sensor failure prediction using machine learning, segmentation of dental disorders using machine learning, temperature control for industrial processes and experimental studies on adaptive charging units for EV.
