The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has launched a smart parking system at Marina Beach and nine major spots including Anna Nagar and Nungambakkam, making digital payment mandatory for all vehicles. Fees are fixed at ā¹5 for two-wheelers, ā¹20 for cars, and ā¹60 for buses and vans.The Tamil Nadu Ex-Servicemen’s Association has taken over fee collection through digital receipts featuring QR codes, following the end of a private contract. The initiative, implemented under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, aims to ease traffic and streamline parking management.
