Self-styled godman Nithyananda has filed an appeal in the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court. This comes after a single judge barred him from entering the Madurai Adheenam.During the hearing, the court asked several sharp questions. Judges asked where Nithyananda’s so-called ‘Kailasa’ country is, how people can travel there, and if a visa or passport is needed. They also wanted to know where Nithyananda is living now.
Nithyananda’s follower, Archana, appeared in court. She said he lives in a country called the “United States of Kailasa (USK),” supposedly near Australia. She claimed this nation is recognised by the United Nations.
Archana also asked the court for time to appoint a new lawyer for Nithyananda. The court agreed and postponed the hearing.
