AIADMK leaders have filed a formal police complaint against the DMK’s IT wing and its state secretary, TRB Rajaa, over a controversial social media post targeting former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS). The complaint was lodged at multiple police stations across the state and addressed to the Director General of PoliceAccording to AIADMK’s joint secretary of the legal wing, R.M. Babu Murugavel, the DMK’s official social media handle shared a “blatantly false” post featuring a semi-nude, derogatory caricature of EPS, accompanied by distorted imagery of the AIADMK flag. The party is demanding legal action under the IT Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and has called for immediate removal of the offensive content
AIADMK Trichy North district secretary M. Paranjothi, along with former MP P. Kumar and ex-chief whip R. Manoharan, warned of large-scale protests if no action is taken. MLA C. Vijaya Baskar accused the DMK of distorting history and disrespecting Tamil heritage. He specifically referenced EPS’s Keeladi Museum project, which was allotted ₹12 crore during his time as Chief Minister.
