Veteran director Suresh Krissna, known for iconic Tamil films like Annamalai, Veera, Baashha, and Baba, is back with a deeply emotional and musically rich drama titled Charukesi. The trailer of the film was launched recently at a grand event in Maduravoyal, Chennai, with the presence of the film’s cast, crew, and special guests from the industry.
Charukesi revolves around the life of a classical musician battling Alzheimer’s disease. The story explores the emotional journey of a man who once mesmerized audiences with his music but now struggles with fading memories. This poignant narrative is brought to life by a powerful ensemble cast that includes Y. Gee. Mahendra, Samuthirakani, Sathyaraj, Suhasini Maniratnam, Ramya Pandian, Raj Ayyappa, Jayaprakash, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sai Dheena, and Y.G. Madhuvanthi.
The film’s music is composed by Deva and plays a vital role in expressing the film’s emotional undertones. The screenplay and lyrics are written by Pa Vijay, who has also been instrumental in shaping the film’s dialogues and poetic elements. The cinematography is handled by Sanjay, while the editing is done by Richard. Notably, the film also features a song sung by the renowned vocalist Shankar Mahadevan.
Speaking at the trailer launch, the cast and crew praised Suresh Krissna’s vision and dedication to storytelling that blends art and emotion.
