Washington, June 25: US President Donald Trump said he does not want regime change in Iran, just days after hinting otherwise.Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said, “No, I don’t want it. I’d like to see everything calm down quickly.”
He added that regime change causes chaos, and that should be avoided.
His comments come after he seemed to support removing Iran’s government following recent US-Israeli airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. This marks another shift in his foreign policy stance.
