Actor Krishna was questioned by the Chennai Police on Tuesday in the ongoing cocaine case.
The Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit (ANIU) brought Krishna in for inquiry. He was earlier reported missing after his name came up during an investigation. Sources say Krishna had been hiding to avoid arrest.
Police said Krishna was linked to Prasad, a former AIADMK IT wing member arrested earlier in the case. Prasad reportedly supplied drugs to several people, including celebrities.
During questioning, Krishna admitted to knowing Prasad. However, he denied using or buying drugs. He told police he was under stress and made mistakes.
Officials are checking Krishna’s phone records and contacts for more clues. The police team is expected to question him again if new evidence appears.
The case is still under investigation. More arrests are likely as police expand the probe.
