TNSTC to run special nuses for Wlweekend crowd

To handle the weekend travel rush, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) will operate special buses from July 4 to 6. This move comes as thousands of passengers are expected to travel due to the weekend break. From Kilambakkam bus terminus in Chennai, 325 special buses will be run on Friday and 375 on Saturday. These buses will go to major cities such as Trichy, Madurai, Kumbakonam, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Coimbatore, and Tiruvannamalai. From Koyambedu, 55 special buses will operate each day to places like Bengaluru, Hosur, and Velankanni. Around 200 more buses will run from cities like Bengaluru, Erode, and Tiruppur. An additional 20 buses will be operated from Madhavaram on both days. Return services to Chennai and Bengaluru will be arranged on Sunday, based on passenger demand. Over 21,000 people have already booked tickets through the TNSTC website and app. Extra staff will be deployed at bus stands to help passengers. People are advised to book tickets in advance to avoid last-minute issues. These special buses are meant to make travel smoother and easier during the weekend rush.
