In a big win for President Donald Trump, the US Congress has passed his $4.5 trillion “Big Beautiful Bill”. The bill includes tax cuts and spending cuts, and was passed narrowly in the House by a 218–214 vote.
This marks a major success in Trump’s second term. The bill makes his 2017 tax cuts permanent, adds new tax breaks, and provides funding for immigration enforcement.
President Trump called it a “historic achievement”, saying the bill will turn the country into a “rocket ship.” He said it is the biggest bill of its kind ever signed, helping the economy, national security, and the southern border.
The bill includes a massive $3.4 trillion in tax cuts, aimed at boosting businesses, middle-class families, and investment. It also features $1.1 trillion in spending reductions, targeting welfare reforms, cuts to federal agencies, and streamlining government programs. Trump said the changes would help reduce debt while growing the economy faster than ever.
