Director Ajay Gnanamuthu has officially kickstarted the shooting of the much-anticipated third installment in the Demonte Colony franchise. The horror-thriller series, which began with the 2015 hit Demonte Colony starring Arulnithi, has been a significant success in Tamil cinema.Following the blockbuster reception of the first film, Ajay went on to direct critically acclaimed projects such as Imaikkaa Nodigal and Cobra. He later returned to helm Demonte Colony 2, which was made on a budget of ₹20 crore and went on to gross over ₹80 crore at the box office—cementing its place as a massive commercial success.
Riding high on this success, Ajay Gnanamuthu is now back with Demonte Colony 3. Arulnithi, who played the lead in the first two parts, will reprise his role in this third chapter as well. Actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has been roped in to play the female lead in the film.
The movie was launched with a formal pooja, and shooting has officially commenced. With high expectations already surrounding the project, Demonte Colony 3 is expected to continue the franchise’s legacy of delivering gripping horror with a strong narrative.
