Vels Film International Ltd, led by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, has officially begun shooting its biggest production yet — D54, starring National Award-winning actor Dhanush. The film was launched on July 10 with a traditional pooja in Chennai.Directed by Por Thozhil fame Vignesh Raja and co-written by Alfred Prakash, D54 promises to be a gripping, large-scale thriller packed with emotion and suspense. The film marks the first on-screen pairing of Dhanush with rising star Mamitha Baiju.
The ensemble cast includes veterans like KS Ravikumar, Jayaram, Karunas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Prithvi Pandiarajan. The technical team features GV Prakash Kumar on music, Theni Eswar on cinematography, Sreejith Sarang on editing, Maya Pandi handling production design, and costumes by Dinesh Manohar and Kaviya Sriram.
Planned as a pan-Indian theatrical spectacle, D54 is being shot across multiple locations and aims to offer a thrilling cinematic experience.
