Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Telugu film Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead. On the occasion of Shiva Rajkumar’s birthday, the makers revealed his first look from the film, where he plays a character named GourNaidu.The poster shows Shiva Rajkumar in a powerful and intense avatar, dressed in rugged attire with a thick moustache, capturing the essence of a commanding rural figure. The production house, Vriddhi Cinemas, shared the poster on social media with the caption, “GourNaidu will be regal and explosive on the big screens.”
Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, known for his debut film Uppena. Along with Ram Charan and Shiva Rajkumar, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. It is said to be a sports-based action drama with a rural backdrop.
The music for Peddi is composed by A. R. Rahman, and the film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and Vriddhi Cinemas. It is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 27, 2026.
Ram Charan, who is collaborating with Shiva Rajkumar for the first time, expressed his admiration and said he was honoured to work with the Kannada legend.
