The CBI has begun investigating the murder of Ajith Kumar. He was a security guard at a temple in Sivaganga district.  Ajith Kumar, 29, died after police reportedly attacked him. This happened while police were looking into missing jewelry. Five police officers were arrested. A top police officer was also removed from his post, and another was suspended. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin asked the CBI to take over the case. This was done to make sure justice is served. A team from the CBI, led by Deputy Superintendent Mohit Kumar, came from Delhi to Madurai. They met with police officers. The CBI will talk to Ajith Kumar’s family and friends. They will also speak with temple workers and the person who reported the missing jewelry. The CBI has taken all case papers from the court. They will work from an office near the temple. The CBI must give their report by August 20.
