The ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ grievance redressal camp witnessed an overwhelming response in Chennai, with close to 11,000 petitions submitted across seven locations in a single day.Held as part of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s initiative to directly address public grievances, the camp was organized simultaneously in Alandur, Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Royapuram, Teynampet, Thiru Vi Ka Nagar, and Valasaravakkam zones on Tuesday.
According to Chennai Corporation data, a total of 10,955 applications were received. The Ambattur zone recorded the highest number with 2,415 petitions, followed by Thiru Vi Ka Nagar with 1,946, and Anna Nagar with 1,924.
Residents raised various issues, including requests for housing, ration cards, old-age pensions, streetlights, and road repairs. Officials from multiple departments were present to receive petitions and assure timely follow-up.
Launched in 2021, the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ (With You, Stalin) scheme has been praised for bringing governance closer to the people. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between the public and the administration by providing direct access to government services and grievance redressal.
