AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) has launched a strong critique against the political alliance between the DMK and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), claiming that the DMK will eventually “swallow” its ally.Speaking at a public meeting in Virudhachalam, Palaniswami asserted that the DMK’s strategy is to absorb and sideline its alliance partners, and he warned that the VCK, led by Thol. Thirumavalavan, is the latest target. He accused the DMK of using these alliances to expand its own influence while diminishing the presence of other parties.
Palaniswami supported his claim by referencing the historical political trajectory of the Congress party in Tamil Nadu, which he alleged was weakened through its association with the DMK. He contended that the same fate awaits the VCK, which he believes will lose its distinct political identity and organizational strength under the current partnership.
