Chennai, July 24:
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin experienced dizziness due to variations in heart rhythm, and received treatment for it at Apollo Hospital in Chennai, according to an official medical bulletin released by the hospital on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister has been undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road for the past four days. A team of medical experts led by senior cardiologist Dr. Senguttuvellu conducted a series of tests which revealed that the dizziness was caused by an irregular heartbeat.
“Following expert advice, a corrective procedure was successfully carried out this morning,” the hospital said.
An angiogram performed today also showed normal results. The hospital confirmed that Chief Minister Stalin is stable and recovering well.
He is expected to resume his regular official duties within two days, the statement added.
