Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi said that Operation Sindoor will be remembered as a major milestone in military history. He was speaking at a function held at Raj Bhavan to award the Governorās Unit Citation to select army units.The Governor praised the Indian Army for its efficient and coordinated efforts during the operation. He also highlighted the government’s strong leadership and the military’s timely response. He said that the operation was an example of how the country can respond to threats without escalating tensions.
Governor Ravi also appreciated the Armed Forces for their work in disaster relief. He mentioned how the Army helped during recent floods and cyclones in Tamil Nadu, saving many lives.
Four units received the Governorās Unit Citation at the event. These were:
16 Madras (Travancore), 35 Field Regiment,
Ordnance Depot, Avadi and 65 Company ASC (Supply) Type āDā.
The Governor said that these units played a key role in both the military operation and in helping people during natural disasters. He ended his speech by saying that the country is now more confident and better prepared to handle future challenges.
