A 16-year-old boy named Indrachandran was kidnapped in Tamil Nadu, reportedly over a family issue. His brother Dhanush had married a woman named Vijayashree against her family’s wishes. This upset her relatives.
On May 10, Indrachandran went missing from his home. A police complaint was filed, and the case was taken over by the CB-CID.
During the investigation, it was found that KV Kuppam MLA Poovai Jagan Moorthy and senior police officer ADGP Jayaram might be linked to the kidnapping. Jayaram is accused of helping in the crime by using his official vehicle. He has been arrested and suspended from duty.
The Madras High Court is closely watching the case. It questioned why there was a delay in action and warned that no one should be spared, no matter how powerful they are.
The kidnapped boy has been rescued. Several people have been questioned, and more arrests may happen soon. The investigation is still going on.
