In a move aimed at modernizing customer experience and boosting sales, Aavin has announced plans to renovate seven of its major junction milk parlours in Chennai. This comes as part of a broader initiative to enhance accessibility and visual appeal across its retail network.Currently, over 1.5 lakh litres of milk and ₹30 crore worth of milk products are sold daily through Aavin’s 35 junction milk parlours and 200 other outlets across the city. Recognizing the importance of customer-facing infrastructure, the Aavin administration has decided to begin renovation work in select locations as part of the first phase of the project.
The selected parlours — including those in Nungambakkam, Arumbakkam, Poonamallee High Road, Vasantham Colony, Ambattur, DAV, and SIET — will undergo upgrades at a total estimated cost of ₹20 lakh. Tenders for the renovation work have already been issued. Aavin officials stated that the renovation process will commence soon and is expected to improve customer convenience and drive higher footfalls.
In addition to the ongoing operations of 33 modern milk parlours, Aavin plans to extend these upgrades to other outlets in phases, aligning with its long-term goal of expanding its customer base and enhancing service standards across Chennai.
