Tamil cinema scored big at the 71st National Film Awards announced on Friday, with composer GV Prakash Kumar bagging the best music director award for Vaathi, starring Dhanush. This marks his second national award for music after Soorarai Pottru.
The awards, announced by the information and broadcasting ministry, honour films and performances across India that were released in 2023.
