The Tamil Nadu State Election Commission has officially included Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in the list of registered political parties in the state.TVK, founded by actor Vijay, was earlier registered with the Election Commission of India (ECI) as a political party. Following that, the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission has now formally added it to its list of recognised parties that can contest in state and local body elections.
The party’s registered office is located in Panayur, along the East Coast Road in Chennai.
Along with TVK, two other parties—Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK)—have also been included in the updated list of registered parties maintained by the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission.
With this development, TVK becomes officially eligible to participate in upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu, including the 2026 Assembly polls.
