Former Chief Minister and AIADMK leader, Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), has promised to provide farmers with 24 hours of uninterrupted electricity if his party forms the government again.

Speaking at a campaign event, EPS criticized the current DMK government, stating that farmers are only receiving power in shifts, which is disrupting agricultural work and harming crop yields. He claimed that under the AIADMK’s previous administration, farmers enjoyed continuous power supply.

Palaniswami highlighted the struggles faced by farmers, including the lack of adequate water for irrigation during summer months, and emphasized that consistent power supply is crucial for running pump sets. He also brought up other issues like the distribution of crop loans and the procurement of paddy.

The promise of 24-hour power is a key part of the AIADMK’s platform to address the concerns of the farming community and boost the agricultural sector in the state.
