Mohammed Siraj produced a spirited bowling performance to guide India to a thrilling six-run victory over England in the fifth and final Test at The Oval, levelling the five-match series 2-2.
England began the final day needing just 35 runs with four wickets in hand, but Sirajâs fiery spell turned the tide. He removed the dangerous Jamie Smith early, and along with Prasidh Krishna, choked England’s chase in overcast conditions.
The match, filled with drama and tension, saw a packed Oval crowd on day five. Despite criticism for halting play early on day four, the contest went down to the wire, ending in one of the most gripping finishes in recent Test history.
Sirajâs accuracy and aggression proved decisive, earning India a hard-fought and memorable series draw.
